Srixon TS vs Tommy Armour Silver Scott - Opinions?

Thought I'd post a new topic rather than threadromancy on the previous one.My brother in law has decided that he likes golf as well Golf Sale Site, and he wants to get a nice cheap set. Something that he can sneak past his wife without her getting too angry with him.The two sets I'm currently looking at for him are a Srixon Tour Special set for $399 Golf Equipment Shop, or a Tommy Armour Silver Scott set for $499. Does anyone have an opinion on either of these? When I bought my irons this forum was VERY helpful. these clubs seem to have decent reviews Golf Clubs Equipment, but I thought I'd ask the advice of the wise people on the forum before I made recommendations to my brother. Thanks for the help!EDIT I have linkage if people don't know the set, it's a retail site though so I don't want to contravene forum rules. You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig. The Man with no name

Stopped buying locally?

Has anyone else given up buying golf equipment locally?Just got a set of mizuno irons with custom length shafts within 5 days fedex to my door and for half the retail price of Australia. Golfbox quoted me 4 weeks ex/USA and a whole lot more $$$$.When i went back to look at new cleveland wedges Golf Sale Site, the guy was trying to convince me to take floor stock with wedge flex shafts. I wanted to get the same R300 shafts in my irons and he said that there's no point.. WTF???? The guy actually was trying to convince me to take off the floor stuff and put in shaft plugs to lengthen the shaft. Instead of waiting 4 weeks for it to come via USA.What's the point of buying from local golf shops if they cost more Discount Golfs, take longer Golf Drivers Shop, and try to sell you something else instead???

i seek classifieds experience - advice required

Hey guys Golf Drivers Blog, I need some help with how to deal with this situation Used Golf, as I am a little angry and probably not in the best frame of mind to make a decision myself.I bought a Scotty Cameron putter from another forum member who we will call KristianJ (cos that's his name). In the classified he was all sweet and lovely and offered money back if I wasn't convinced it was genuine and the deal seemed really above board. The price was very keen and even included a headcover which he claimed was genuine.Anyway Golf Irons Site, the putter arrived today and lo and behold he has packed the darn thing in a TaylorMade golf club box! Is this condition irreversible? Will the putter still know who he is in the morning? I am very concerned and any advice is appreciated.Thanks.PGI'm here when I want to be, except for Jetset, who is a pain in my side.

Any Scotty Cameron Collectors Here??

Good to see there are always guys willing to boo hoo at something that someone else enjoys. It's the Aussie way. Anyway nice to see there are other golfers with a assion for the SC's. I just got a Kombi S Circle T with the awesome cover that has the bulldog and a massive Circle T on it. Have not rolled a putt with it as I may sell it but it looks awesome. Also got a couple of industrial circle T headcovers and a headcver from the Japanese Cameron Museum Golf For Sale Store, all great but not sure what to do with them as Iwont be gaming any of them Golf Sale, be too worrid I would lose the covers or damge a putter worth around the $1500 mark.Could you list a few of the putters your mate had Didn't Free Discount Golf, just out of curiousity I'd like to see what he has in his collection.

Callaway X Forged (2009) V Mizuno mp58

ok guys just need opinions here Golf For Sale, I am looking at upgrading my Srixon I-601 irons and the 2 sets that I have it narrowed down to are Mizuno mp58 and Callaway X-Forged.any thoughts on which iron will give most forgiveness Golf Sale Blog, feel Discount Golf, distance etc. prices are similar for new but I think I am looking 2nd hand.I have swing speed around 100mph so was thinking 6.0 project X shafts. my ball flight is fairly standard, my 7 iron hit is approx 155-160m.thanks in advance guys, i know the best thing to do is go hit both clubs side by side and I have done that without resolving my dilemna. both clubs feel great to hit.If Everton were playing at the bottom of the garden, I'd pull the curtains.
